The night sky over Loch Shieldaig This was my last night of a 5 day tour around the far north west of Scotland. The weather and conditions had been challenging all week (I’ll talk about that later as I post more photos).
I checked the weather forecast for the Torridon area on my phone and we were to have little cloud cover overnight! I knew moonset was at 0425 hours which would give me a short window of about an hour and a half of dark sky before sunrise. For the fifth and last night, I bedded down in the back of my car and set my alarm for 0400 hours. I love this area and especially this view looking over the little red roofed house to Loch Shieldaig and Torridon mountains beyond.
